Connect ChatGPT
to Futurez

Connect ChatGPT to your Futurez plan and you can run financial what-ifs just by asking — model an early retirement, build a Roth conversion ladder, stress-test a market crash — with the answers computed against your real plan across 1,000 market futures.

Heads-up: ChatGPT connects to Futurez through its Developer Mode, which OpenAI currently offers as a beta feature. It’s a few more steps than some assistants, but it gives ChatGPT full access to run Futurez actions for you. If you’d like the quickest setup, the Claude guide is the smoothest path today.

Before you start
1

A Futurez account

With an active trial or subscription — connecting your AI is included in the single Futurez plan. (No account yet? Start your free 14-day trial.)

2

A Developer-Mode plan

A ChatGPT plan that supports Developer Mode — Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Edu, using ChatGPT on the web. (Developer Mode isn’t available on the Free plan.)

Connect ChatGPT — step by step

Three short phases

Phase 1

Turn on Developer Mode

1
Open ChatGPT on the web and go to Settings.
2
Open the Connectors tab, then Advanced settings.
3
Toggle on Developer Mode. (This is a beta feature — if you don’t see it, confirm your plan supports it and that you’re on the web app, not mobile.)

Phase 2

Add Futurez as a connector

1
Back on the Connectors screen, click Create.
2
Fill in the connector details:
Name: Futurez
MCP server URL: https://futurezapp.com/mcp
Authentication: choose OAuth
3
Check the box confirming you trust this connector, then click Create.
4
ChatGPT sends you to Futurez to sign in and approve access. Log in as usual and confirm — you’ll be returned to ChatGPT.

Phase 3

Use it in a chat

Start a new chat, click the plus (+) icon, choose More → Developer mode, and select Futurez. Now ask it about your plan. ChatGPT will show you each action before it runs it and wait for your confirmation.

Ask ChatGPT about your plan

“Look at my Futurez plan and tell me my Chance of success and Runway date.”

“What if my partner and I each retire two years earlier than planned?”

“Set up a Roth conversion ladder from age 55, filling up to the 12% tax bracket, and show the tax impact.”

“How does my plan hold up if the market has a bad decade right after I retire?”

“Compare claiming Social Security at 62 vs. 70 for both of us.”

Frequently asked questions

FAQ

Developer Mode is how ChatGPT enables full custom MCP connectors that can take actions (not just read). It’s currently a beta feature on Plus and higher plans, on the web.
No — connecting your AI is part of the single Futurez subscription. You just need an active trial or subscription (and a ChatGPT plan that supports Developer Mode).
Both — but it asks first. Every action that changes your plan requires your confirmation, and each what-if is saved as its own new version, so nothing is lost and you can roll back.
Developer Mode is beta and web-only, and OpenAI adjusts these menus over time. Confirm your plan supports it, use ChatGPT on the web, and check Settings → Connectors → Advanced settings. Prefer a simpler setup? Try the Claude guide.
