Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Futurez — and the privacy-forward choices we’ve made on your behalf.

Last updated August 14, 2026
On this page

This Privacy Policy explains how This Meeting Matters, LLC (“Futurez,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), an Indiana limited liability company, collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Futurez application and website at https://futurezapp.com and related services (together, the “Service”).

Futurez is a financial-life simulation tool. We built it to be privacy-forward: we do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not display third-party ads inside the product. This policy describes what that means in practice.

Futurez is intended only for users in the United States and is designed for individuals 18 years of age or older. See “Children’s Privacy” below.

Section 01

A quick summary

This summary is for convenience only; the full policy below controls.

  • You can use Futurez without creating an account. If you do, we do not collect your name or email address at all — only the simulation you build and basic usage analytics.
  • If you create an account, we collect the information you give us to run it — your first name, your email address, the financial figures and notes you enter into your simulations, and the messages you send to our AI features.
  • We collect basic product-usage analytics (which features are used, and how) through PostHog. We do not put your financial figures into our analytics.
  • We use a small set of trusted service providers — for hosting, our database, payments, email, AI features, and secure sign-in — and we describe each one below.
  • We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for third-party advertising, and our team does not browse your data. We only look at your simulation content when you give us express permission — for example, to help with a support request.
  • You can delete a simulation or your entire account at any time, and we will delete the associated data.
  • You have rights over your information (access, correction, deletion, and more), and we extend those rights to all of our U.S. users regardless of the state you live in.

Section 03

Information we collect

Information you provide to us

Using Futurez without an account. You can start building a simulation without signing up. When you do, we create an anonymous record so your work can be saved and run, but we do not collect your name, your email address, or any other information that identifies you. That record is reachable only from the browser you created it in. If you later create an account, that same record becomes your account — your simulation carries over.

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your first name and email address. These identify your account, let you sign in, and let us send you the messages described below.

Simulation data. Futurez lets you model your financial life. The information you enter into your simulations may include account names and balances, income and expense descriptions, and free-form notes. You decide what to enter. You do not need to use your real figures, and you can use nicknames or placeholders if you prefer — Futurez works the same either way.

AI conversations and directives. When you use our AI-assisted features — such as the conversational AI assistant, the AI chart builder, and the AI rule writer — we collect the chat messages and instructions you send, so those features can respond to you. These messages may reference the simulation data you have entered.

Payment information. When you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your card details directly through its secure payment fields; we never receive or store your full card number. Within Futurez we only ever display your card’s brand and last four digits (for example, “Visa ending in 4242”) and its expiration date, so you can recognize the card on file. See “Payments” under Service Providers below.

Messages you send us. If you email us (for example, at hello@futurezapp.com), we receive the contents of that message and our correspondence with you.

Information we collect automatically

Product-usage analytics. We use PostHog to understand how the Service is used — for example, which features are opened, which pages are viewed, and how people move through the app — so we can fix problems and improve Futurez. This analytics data can include technical information such as device and browser type, general activity within the app, and identifiers used to distinguish one session or user from another.

We deliberately keep your financial details out of analytics. We do not send your account balances, income and expense figures, notes, or the contents of your simulations into PostHog. Analytics is about how the product is used, not what your money looks like.

Cookies and similar technologies. We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to run the Service — for example, to keep you signed in — and to power the usage analytics described above. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings; note that disabling necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working. See “Your privacy choices” below for how we respond to browser privacy signals.

Information from service providers

We receive limited information back from the providers listed below — for example, Stripe tells us your subscription status and the card brand/last four, and our email provider tells us whether a message was delivered — so we can operate your account.

Section 04

How we use your information

We use the information above only to run and improve Futurez, specifically to:

  • create and maintain your account and authenticate your sign-in;
  • store, run, and display your simulations and their results;
  • power the AI-assisted features you choose to use;
  • process your subscription and payments, and show your billing status and receipts;
  • send you transactional messages you need (for example, account, security, billing, and support messages);
  • send you marketing or product-update emails, which always include a clear one-click unsubscribe link — you can opt out at any time and we will still send transactional messages;
  • understand product usage and improve the Service (through the privacy-limited analytics described above);
  • provide customer support — and, where doing so requires viewing your simulation content, only with your express permission (see Section 6);
  • protect the Service and our users, enforce our Terms of Service, and detect, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, security, or technical issues; and
  • comply with our legal obligations.

We do not use your personal information to serve you third-party advertising, and we do not sell it. See Section 7.

Section 05

Service providers (subprocessors)

We rely on a focused set of reputable third-party providers (“service providers” or “subprocessors”) to deliver the Service. We share personal information with these categories of providers: hosting and content delivery, database and storage, product analytics, payment processing, email delivery, AI processing, and authentication. Each provider processes information only as needed to perform its function for us, and each is bound by its own commitments to protect that information.

The specific companies we use as of the date above currently include the following. This named list is provided for transparency; it may not always reflect every current provider, and the categories above are the authoritative description of who we share data with:

ProviderWhat it does for usWhat it may process
VercelWebsite and application hosting / content deliveryTechnical request data needed to serve the app (e.g., IP address, device/browser info)
ConvexOur application databaseYour account information, simulation data, and AI conversations, so they can be stored and retrieved
PostHogProduct-usage analyticsUsage events and technical identifiers — not your financial figures or simulation contents
StripePayment processingYour card details (collected directly by Stripe) and subscription/billing data
ResendSending transactional and marketing emailYour email address and the contents of the messages we send you
AnthropicPowers our AI-assisted featuresThe chat messages, instructions, and related simulation context you submit to those features
ScaleKitSecure authentication for connecting your own AI assistant to Futurez (our MCP integration)Sign-in/authorization data needed to complete the secure connection

We host and process data in data centers located in the United States, and we select our providers with U.S.-based processing in mind.

A note on AI and training. Our AI-assisted features are powered by Anthropic. We do not enable our AI provider to train its models on your inputs, and our provider’s commercial terms likewise provide that customer inputs submitted through its API are not used to train its models. Your AI conversations are used to provide the feature to you.

We may add, remove, or replace service providers as the Service evolves, and the specific companies named above may change without prior notice. We will keep the categories above accurate and will continue to require that any provider protect your information consistent with this policy. The named list is a transparency courtesy, not an exhaustive or guaranteed-current roster.

Section 06

When we access your data

Protecting the confidentiality of what you enter into Futurez is central to how we operate. Two commitments sit at the core of this:

  • We don’t snoop. Our personnel do not browse your simulations or read your financial details out of curiosity or for any reason unrelated to running the Service. No one on our team reviews your specific content to understand your personal financial situation unless you ask us to.
  • We look at your content to help you only with your permission. The one time we will open your specific simulations to read and interpret them in order to assist you is when you give us express permission — for example, when you contact us for support and authorize us to look. That permission may be given in different ways, such as by email today, and potentially through an in-app setting in the future.

At the same time, running a real software service means our team and systems necessarily have access to the systems that store your information. In the course of building, operating, securing, debugging, and improving the Service — for example, investigating a production incident or diagnosing a product defect — our engineers may run queries or inspect data that includes customer information. We limit this to what the work reasonably requires, remain bound by confidentiality, and do not use these occasions to browse your content for its own sake.

We may also access, preserve, or disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with the law or a legal request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, the public, or us.

These commitments are described in more detail in our internal Data Access & Confidentiality Policy, which governs how our team may and may not handle customer data.

Section 07

What we do not do

To be explicit about our privacy-forward commitments:

  • We do not sell your personal information for money or other valuable consideration.
  • We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not display third-party ads within Futurez.
  • We do not put your financial figures or simulation contents into our product analytics.
  • We do not let our AI provider train its models on your inputs.
  • We do not allow our team to browse your data for its content — no one reviews your financial details to understand your personal situation without your permission, as described in Section 6.

Section 08

How long we keep your information, and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and then as described here.

When you delete a simulation. When you delete a simulation, the associated data will be permanently and irrevocably deleted within 30 days. Some copies may persist for a limited time in routine backups until those backups expire on their normal cycle.

Anonymous simulations. If you use Futurez without creating an account, the simulation you build is stored so the Service can run it, but it is not connected to your name, email address, or any other identifier. You can delete it yourself at any time by signing out, which permanently removes it. We also delete anonymous simulations automatically after no more than 30 days without use. If you create an account, your simulation stops being anonymous at that point and is kept under the rules for account data below.

When you delete your account. When you delete your entire account, we will permanently delete all of your data within 30 days. Today you can request account deletion by emailing hello@futurezapp.com; in the future we may also offer self-service account deletion within the app. As with simulation deletion, any residual copies in routine backups are purged on their normal cycle and are not restored to active use.

Exceptions. We may retain a limited amount of information where we are required to for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention reasons (for example, records of transactions), and we will delete or de-identify it once those purposes are met.

Section 09

Your privacy rights and choices

We extend the following rights to all of our U.S. users, regardless of the state you live in:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information (see Section 8).
  • Portability — request your information in a portable format where applicable.
  • Opt out of marketing — unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in those emails or by emailing us.
  • Non-discrimination — we will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a lesser experience for exercising any of these rights.

Because we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing to opt out of on those fronts — but you have the right to confirm that, and you may.

If you have used Futurez without an account. You can delete an anonymous simulation yourself at any time by signing out, which permanently removes it — you do not need to ask us, and we do not need to verify anything. What we cannot do is act on a request to access, correct, or export an anonymous simulation, because it is not linked to your name or email and we have no way to confirm it is yours. If you want your work kept, retrievable, and covered by all of the rights above, create an account.

How to exercise your rights. Email hello@futurezapp.com. We will verify your request (typically by confirming control of your account email) and respond within the time required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request where the law allows; we may still need to verify your identity.

Browser privacy signals. Where your browser or a browser extension sends an opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), we treat it as a valid request to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” for the browser or device that sends it — even though, as noted, we do not sell or share your information in the first place.

Appeals. If we decline a privacy request, you may ask us to reconsider by replying to our response; we will review and respond as required by applicable law.

Section 10

Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, such as encryption of data in transit, access controls, use of reputable infrastructure providers, and the internal access restrictions described in Section 6. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can access it. If we ever learn of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any regulators as required by applicable law.

Section 11

Children’s privacy

Futurez is intended for adults. The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. We chose an 18+ threshold deliberately: Futurez is a tool for modeling an adult’s financial life, and an adults-only Service is the simplest way to protect younger people and comply with children’s-privacy laws. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us personal information, contact us at hello@futurezapp.com and we will delete it.

Section 12

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy with a new “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we will provide any notice required by applicable law, and we may — but are not obligated to, except where the law requires it — also notify you by email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy, so we encourage you to review it periodically.
